I have an old tv: a panasonic with 2 SCART, one S-VIDEO and one RCA inputs and I want to connect it to my ATI Radeon HD5450 which has DVA, VGA and HDMI outputs. Do you have any sugestions on what to do and how to connect them? I need something SIMPLE (no convertors or however they are called). Last time I connected my TV to a ATI x1550 via a 15 meters long s-video cable. The image was UNBEARABLE! It flickerer A LOT with all the anti-flickering stuff on. The only way I could stop it completly was by turning the image black and white.

You will need some sort of converter. There is no simple, single, wire from your video card to that old TV.

And as you have already seen, the picture quality will suck.

go to goodwill or check ebay for a monitor, the only way you will get it to work is 1. buy a converter, or 2, use an s-video cable.

Alright, so there is no hope for me. Thx for the reply :D  Btw what's the reason behind the bad image? The low bandwidth of the cables? I mean I understand they can't transfer even near HD , but why the flickering? Because the cable was 15 meters long?
