H100i mounting bracket question

Im ready to install the H100i onto my Hero MB. I have the mounting bracket on the rear screwed in with the 1156 screws (i have 1150 chip) but there is a bit of wiggle. Is this normal ? I dont want to mount the cooler and then have to take it off again. Wilit tighten up once the heatsink is put in place ?

I've read many posts on this issue and although it's accepted as normal to have a little play it can effect the temps you end up getting due to inconsistent contact so the solution is to use some washers. I'm keeping it in mind since I'm looking at getting the H100i soon.

I bought washers but didnt need them. I took the chance and just mounted it first. Bracket tightened right up. I imagine they left a minute amount of space to allow for expansion as the processor heats up.
