My first question as always is do you play any GPU accelerated PhysX games? They are very few.

Last I heard which I admit was awhile ago Nvidia closed the door on the hole which was being used. Sure you can use older drivers to do it, but new games don't work (well) with old drivers. If you do play any of the GPU games you might want to get an Nvidia GPU.

^Indeed this is true. There are people working on Hybrid PhysX to get around this but this is not supported by AMD of Nvidia. Probably voids your warranty on the new card (plus the usual risk of bricking cards etc).

Not many titles use PhysX and the CPU can handle it anyway.

Just for games like borderlands 2, and if there were any future games that what benefit from Physx, but also mainly just as an enquiry, to see if it can be done, i plan on switching from an xbox to a pc for the better experience.

It would be easier all round to just go for an Nvidia upgrade, PC gaming can be a pain, even now, you're just making a rod for your own back..In my opinion.

Just mentioned it as lots of people come in saying they want to use it on Crysis 3, or BF3. Neither of those games or most of the others use GPU accelerated PhysX. Which is why I always ask. If you don't play any of them, no point in worrying about it.

As I mentioned and Coozie agrees, just better to get an Nvidia card. Easier in the long run.

If i had to get a Nvidia gtx760 or 770, i'll have less for a cpu or mobo and things in South Africa are a lot more expensive than the us or msrp pricing . A gtx 760 would cost about 400$, and should be 250 $ and a 770 would be about 570$
