HDD vs. SSD Storage Questions

Hi, I'm still learning about this, but what exactly should I download into a Solid State Drive and what should I download onto a Hard Drive? If you could, could you give me exact examples such as OS for the SSD or files for the HDD. Also on top of that, if I am primarily gaming with a 1 TB SSD, what would be the most ideal Hard Drive memory? Would 4 TB be overkill for this case? I know I am asking for a lot, but I thank who ever can answer these questions! Thank You again in advance!

OK.
My recommendation would be this:
1. A 256 or 512 SSD. This can hold your OS, MS Office, and any other applications. Plus some/most games.
2. A 1TB or 2TB HDD for music, videos, etc.
3. An external 1 or 2 TB drive to keep your personal data (family pics, whatever) backed up. Connect it once a week to copy over...

How much 'stuff' do you have? Only you know how much space you need.
And have you budgeted for a backup solution? And external drive, maybe.

Umm, I'm really not downloading anything special besides Video Games. Only other things I would download is iTunes, Music, maybe a few movies, no more than 10 and Microsoft Documents such as Word, Publisher, Etc... Also, I haven't thought about the a back up solution. Would it have to be an external one, and how would I use it? Would I download everything I downloaded on my Hard Drive to that External one as a back up?

Hmm, I truly didn't think about an external hard drive, but now that you brought it up, that is a really good idea! I think that I will actually take your recommendation but make the SSD a 1 TB because I do plan on downloading a lot of games and mods with that, so I figure that I want a lot of memory, also I want to sort of future proof the PC and I don't want to have to delete games in the future. But I really really like your suggestion, I'll probably buy two 2 TB HDD, one for internal and one for external. I really appreciate your answer, but I have one last thing which is a bit stupid to ask, but would I download Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox on the SSD or Hard Drive?

To the HDD. No need for that stuff to clutter up the SSD.
You can change the default Download location in Windows, and your browsers will use that.

For installation of games and applications, you can designate where you want it to go, HDD or SSD. Choose Custom or Advanced during the install, rather than accepting the Default settings.
