I have a Dell inspirion N7110. The screen recently got damaged so I purchased a new screen for replacement. Once I received the screen I did a quick replacement I loaded it up and it was fine. Aside from having a dead pixel the only problem is that I cannot turn it to the maximum resolution of 1920x1080 which the screen resolution is. After installing new intel HD family graphics drivers the choice to change the screen resolution has been grayed out completely. I can't even change it through the Intel graphics and Media control panel. Please HALP MEH. This cluttered mess that had become my desktop is really annoying. It cannot go past 720.

hii
If you didnt do it already then install the Monitor driver and the latest drivers found on your mobo manufacture site. - do it in this order
When finished it should solve it after you restart.
