Ive gotten the desk top back ground to show on both monitors but its running both monitors off the onboard

The mother board i have is an Asus M3m78-vm with and athlon 64 x2 4200+
Running winXp (32bit)

Actually, depending on your motherboard specs and BIOS you can. Simply go to the BIOS and change it. In order to accomplish this, the most important thing is to change some settings on the BIOS. Go to the configuration tab>video>integrated graphics device> set to “always enable" Once you do that, both will work, you only can run it on extended desktop, but that is most likely what you want.

I wish i did have the adapter, but ill have to go get one, and with one of my local electronics stores i can get on for less than $10, so its not a big deal, i was just hoping to use the components i already had with me.
