My motherboard starts(lights on) but no usb connections no display like dead

i have an asus maximus iv extreme rev 3.0 and after trying to start the pc it starts normally all the lights come on but does absolutely nothing after no connection to keyboard or mouse no connection to graphics card no display nothing. What may cause this? Corrupted bios?

Sounds like a critical hardware error, fault could lie within the CPU - Motherboard - RAM - Display Device/3D card.
Check a different stick of ram or a different cpu or a different video card and see if it boots, finally if none of that works test a different motherboard with your hardware and see if it boots.

Thats what i did! Right now my pc is running on my old gigabyte one. Every piece of hardware is perfectly fine the fault lies within the motherboard im 100% sure. What is the problem? I gave it to a guy i know who fixed tons of mb's but this one was the hardest and still gives him trouble.

It could be many things, maybe heat damage (I doubt), some of teh boards manufacturing wasn't perfect and slowly the defect grew, possibilities go on - Either way great news the problem has been found!
Hopefulyl your replacement will do all that your previous did and more!
