Hello,
I would like to upgrade my cpu ,but my mobo is am2+ socket and no stores around me sell am2+ cpu. I heard that some AM3 cpu can work with am2+.

I can't tell the model of my mobo, it says to be filled out by o.e.m

However, it supports DDR3.
Can someone tell me which am3 cpu will be compatible with my mobo
thank you

btw I can't afford a new mobo and cpu, in college lol.

Solution
that is a am2+ and am3 cpu bro, but if it's a OEM motherboard, like hp or dell, if you purchase a aftermarket mobo and put the cpu in you you can overclock and get by. Honestly the performance of the newer cpus still don't justifiy the price tag. But if you want a upgrade of everything (considering the ram you use is ddr3)

gets you a 6 core cpu, new mobo to contend with it, a aftermarket cpu cooler that'll allow you to overclock and you're all set.
