Is this CPU and GPU compatible with my motherboard?

My motherboard is the ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77. I'm thinking of getting the Intel Core i5-3470 and the EVGA GeForce GTX760.

I know that my motherboard is LGA 1155 (so, not Haswell), so I had to find a CPU that wasn't Haswell, and that was the one I found. That should be compatible?

For the GPU, how do I figure out the compatibility? I'm guessing that this GPU is compatible with my motherboard, but I just assume this because the motherboard is fairly modern. What do I have to check to ensure that a GPU is compatible with my motherboard? For instance, if I keep this motherboard for five years, then I assume that a vast number of GPUs in five years would not be compatible?

You will be just fine, The motherboard and the GPU are both PCI-e 3.0 and the motherboard has 2 PCI-e 3.0 @ x16 and x8. That motherboard will support Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge so you can use the older i5 like the i5 2500k and i7 2600K and the newer I5's like the i5 3570K and i7 3770K. Plus having the second PCI-e x8 slot you'll be able to go SLI in the future.

Ah yes, I would have to check for PCI Express 3 availability. So, in the future, if GPUs use PCI Express 4, then I can't install it in my motherboard?
