Hello all. With some recomendations I built this computer last week. I just sold it and included a 26" vizio led tv for a monitor (~$230 new), cheap keyboard, wired mouse, and cheap logitech speakers for $1300. I would like to build another as it was pretty fun but, like before, I don't know that much about picking hardware. I'm not a tech inclined guy but I can read and follow building instructions well. I'm not into flashy looks or fancy LEDs or pretty cases.....less is more.

The only complaint from the last build was I found out that NVIDIA is the way to go for GPU when running Linux so I think I would like to switch to a NVIDIA card. I run UbuntuStudio so an OS is not needed in the budget. Having 8 cores (4 virtual?) with the xenon was pretty cool :)

Need:
-SSD for OS
-1tb HDD for storage
-At least 16gb ram (video editing)

Wouldn't mind:
-Trying overclocking for the first time?
-Not into the Intel VS AMD debate. I just like speed, don't care about brand as I don't know much about them. Ask 10 people and you will get 5 intel guys and 5 amd guys....

Computer budget = $1000 USD
Monitor and other cheap junk = $300 USD
Or reccomendations @ $1300 USD

Thanks for any and all help. This is fun!
