I'm having an issue where when I launch Half-Life 2 or Pay Day 2, my TV goes black and says not supported. I am using a PlayStation 3D Display with this system http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1tFke 13.9 drivers.

I believe I caused the issue earlier today when I made the stupid decision to try to use my Roxio Game Capture HD Pro, which I believe to have been the cause of many problems on my previous PC. I've been thinking about recording again and with Fraps and Dxtory costing 37 bucks each I figured I'd just try using the capture card which roxio states can be used to record PC. So I installed the software and plugged everything in using HDMI input and output. My display said Not Supported which I just said oh well ro and tossed the cap card back in its sad and lonely corner. I disregarded this because that is the same thing that happens when you try to record HDMI out from ps3 and didn't care enough to try to fix a product that I hate.

I then plugged the HDMI back into the display and went about doing other things (BF4 beta, looking into other recording software, watching YouTube). I wound up downloading MSI Afterburner and wanted to try out recording BF4 which it refused to do, either I need to change settings or its just Beta issues. So I decided I would play a game that was easy to run while I try to get everything working and launched Half-Life 2. Screen goes black and I get "Not Supported", so I hit Alt tab, turn the display back on and close half life from outside the game. I looked up hl2 not supported and get some people saying they were having problems running it in 1920x1080 so I just decided I would try a different game (I hadn't ran it on this PC before). Then I went to Pay day 2 and the same thing happened... first place my mind goes is Roxio. So I went through and deleted everything related to roxio, restarted and tried again, but same thing. I then decided to do a system restore in case I missed something but even that didn't fix it.

I tried using different resolutions, 16 and 32 bit, 24, 59 and 60hz but nothing was fixing the issue. I'm away from my PC at the moment and won't be back to it until tomorrow. Pay day and Half life appeared to be the only games having the issue. I did not think of it until now but I have not played pay day since updating from 13.4 to 13.9. I will try a different screen tomorrow, but for now, any suggestions?

PS, I will be building a fire this weekend, if anybody would like to come we will be roasting Rox... I mean hot dogs and smores!

Hooked up a different TV and discovered that pay day changed to an unsupported resolution. I highly doubt changing drivers would change resolution in 1 game so I will continue to blame roxio.

Problem Solved.
