Looking at getting a new GPU around 250$ or under, possibly the Radeon HD 7950.
I havent done much research/reading into which would work better in my system, AMD or Invidia.

Current specs:
Intel i7 2600k 3.4GHz
AMD Radeon 6850
G.Skill Z 16gb ddr3 2133
Asus Z77 Sabertooth
OCZ Vertex 4 120gig
850W Seasonic PSU

So far the 6850 i have has held up very well the past few years, starting to get sluggish in a few games and pretty bad in the new Star Citizen hanger module.

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks! :3

Good choice! Radeon 7950 will give you about twice the performance maybe even more.

If you want to go for nVidia, you can try out the GTX 760.

As to how much different in terms of performance between the 2, it's almost too close to call and they are priced similarly.

The choice is yours.

Thanks for the reply UltimateDeep. I don't have to many tech friends (well, none here in Alaska) to discuss such things with.
