Questions about logging onto my router

I recently received a Technicolor TC7200 router, which is working very well. I logged in to try and change my SSID. I did this on an iPad. As soon as I saved the change in SSID, the iPad logged out of the internet connection (as in, when I pressed save the page didn't reload). When I connected again on the new SSID, all was fine.

However, when I tried to log in again to the router using the same address and login/password, it said that "A user has already logged in. Only one session is allowed at a time." This message appears even when I try to log on with my laptop with the iPad switched off.

It feels like the connection made when I changed the SSID never finished and now I'm locked out of changing any router settings. Any idea how to deal with this?

Thanks

clear history in browser.
if it don’t helps than try to reboot router.
If it don't helps too than if you not configured any special network parameter that do reset to factory setting.

Not history, but cache.
I doubt a hard reset is needed for that. Well, that's probably in worst case if there's a misconfiguration.

I would also like to add the reason why this happened to understand it better, it's because:
When you changed your SSID using your iPad, the router applied your settings and reinitialized (with the new SSID, hence the old connection between the iPad and the router got lost)
However, the router did not clear the active session and it did not timeout yet.
I'd also suggest you to disable the session limit if your router supports this setting, to avoid such things happen in the future.
