I have an Asus N56VJ-DH71... graphics card is supposed to be NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M with GB DDR3 video RAM, but all that shows up in device manager is Intel HD graphics 4000.

When the new Nvidia driver was released, I got a notification and installed it. It didn't work properly and said it couldn't run on my computer. Now I can't find an Nvidia graphics card on my computer at all; it doesn't show up in device manager, the Nvidia control panel says there is no card on my system, and the Nvidia site says it can't detect one.

Help would be greatly appreciated :D

Have you looked behind the sofa? ;)
Not much into mobile systems but it's probable the drivers are modified for/by Asus, check their website.
Other option is the go for a System Restore.

I got the same notification I had before when installing from the NVIDIA site

"NVIDIA Installer failed... Components NVIDIA Update, PhysX System Software, HD Audio Driver, Graphics driver, 3D Vision Driver"
