Someone suggested this as an upgrade to my current A6-3670k, I was wondering if anyone knew if this processor would work with the A55 AMD motherboard?

Any links you may have are welcomed as well, thank you!

Athlon X4 750k has the FM2 socket, so it will fit with all A55 AMD MB, which is the FM2 socket MB.

So the FM is what determines capatability?

I have the A55M-HVS version which has only the FM1, so in this case I'm guessing it won't work then will it? :(

Yes, you are right. From same link you can see that 750K is not on ASRock A55M-HVS CPU compatibility list.
