Is your wireless card installed (properly)?
Does Windows 8 recognize it?
Is your machine a laptop or a desktop?
You can check that by going to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections: There you should see a WiFi Connection and its state. What state is it in, or does it even show up?
