Hi all,
I recently moved my setup to a new case to accommodate future expansions. While doing this I fear I damaged my mobo, the USB's and monitor received no signal and I wasn't getting any POST error beeps; so after quite a bit of tinkering I give up and spring for a new mobo. Now I have signal to USB's but my monitor still isn't getting any signal. I haven't had a chance yet to try too many solutions to find out the issue.
My Specs are:
CPU: AMD Phenom II x 4 Black Edition
HDD: WD 500GB (2)
RAM: 4GB 1600Hz
GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 7770 1GB
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

Does anyone have any suggestions or see any issues of compatibility with my motherboard?(These parts worked together with my ASUS M5A78L)

If your monitor is not receiving any signal have you checked if the monitor's wire is connected to the graphics card or not? Silly thing but still some people(even me) forget to plug the monitor cable to the graphics card... If you have done that and still not receiving signal then check if you have plugged the PCI-e Power connector to the graphics card or not? If you haven't plugged the PCI-e Power connector to the graphics card your graphics card wont work until it is plugged in... If you have also done that you might have hurt your graphics card while changing your cabinet...

See an advise when you change your case... Put the graphics card in the Static Electric Pouch(when you bought the graphics card and opened the box you should...

Put the graphics card in the Static Electric Pouch(when you bought the graphics card and opened the box you should have seen a Grey/black pouch in which your Graphics Card was) ... And then change all the components safely to the new case and then remove the graphics card from pouch and fit in the motherboard...

1. Check your monitor on other CUPs

2.if there is no Post beep or red function light or orange function light then many b one of your ram sticks are not working plug out all rams and put one by one and try to get display.

3. Check in bios and disable your board display or put your primary display as PCI-E or VGA.(One more mistake we normally do, check if you are mistakenly plugging your HDMI or DVI cable into on board display LOL i did it many times and people usually do that.:D

4.check your power connector of your graphic card some mobos use direct power from pci-e slot but some need a power cord connected to the graphic card.

5.Try to get display via all option on card and on monitor.HDMI,VGA,DVI.

6.check your system power consumption and watts of your power supply PSU.

See your point 3rd ? If he can't see the display then how should he go to bios? :p :D

and your point 6... His PSU wattage is 600W and that is good for his system... And 600W Power is sufficient for his system...

That's what I am saying... :p If his monitor or graphics card is not working then he wont get a display hence he neither can use his computer nor go to bios...

Sorry guys, hadn't checked in on the answers recently since I kinda gave up on this thread since it was a month old before a reply lol.

So for the details if you're wondering, I moved houses and brought my whole setup as 1 piece, and just moved the assembled hardware into the new case(probably a poor thing to do) so i didnt put anything in the static pouches(i also did not keep any, i am now starting to save them for later)

My old mobo had integrated graphics and they didnt work so i switched it out for a new mobo w/o integrated gpu; making it difficult to test what the issue was. So i brought in my very old Radeon x1650 and lo and behold it worked, so I then had the question whether the it was the psu or gpu, seeing as the x1650 takes much less power than the HD 7770.

So I gave in and bought a new HD 7870 and everything works fine; so I figure somehow in that 2 meter move between cases my HD 7770 got fried and potentially my old mobo as well.

Thank you all for the suggestions (albeit a bit late, but thats my fault for not closing the thread). =)
