Is something wrong? I'm running my 4670k with a 4.8Ghz overclock at 1.250v. I have yet to read about anyone getting this clock at this voltage. I've been running AIDA64 for about two hours with no issues or errors and my temps average in the 60s and spike occasionally to 75-79. So I'm curious has anyone else gotten this OC profile? And if I continue with the stability test for the next 12hours or so and it checks out is this safe for everyday use?

Solution
You'd be hard pressed to get 5 Ghz out of a 4770 and have it stable and actually usable. I have seen 4.8 on several that do well, although I could get no more than 4.6 on mine at least partly due to my cooling.
It would appear that you have a truly golden chip.
What is your batch number? I want one.

The temperatures are nominal for 1.25 voltage.
You could try running a different stress test such as OCCT.

Whatever OC you are stable at, I would drop back a notch and enjoy.
Under even heavy usage, you will not push the cpu as hard as in a stress test.

My bios is manually set to 1.250 but as I watch CPUID it's varies between 1.249 to 1.252

How do I check batch numbers?

The easiest way is to check the label on the box, otherwise it's on the top of the CPU.

If my chip Is as good as everyone says and if it checks out on this test, I'll consider! I have no clue where to start thought, can I get some recommendations?

Quick question, say it crashes around 6 hours into the AIDA64 test, what would be my course of action? I feel like it's dialed in but is there something I should do to make it more stable? Or should I just stick to the standard and raise the voltage by .001?

What risk is there in pushing 5GHz while maintaining respectable temps and voltages?

Yeah, I'd not push it to 5 Ghz. Hitting that clock speed with a Hyper 212 and those temps on Haswell is the equivalent of owning a unicorn. The IPC of Haswell makes your chip equivalent to at least a 5 Ghz Ivy Bridge/Sandy Bridge. :)

I can run 4.9GHz on my 4770K(currently running at 4.6core/4.6uncore @ 1.195V) but OP is referring to a 4670K which usually requires less voltages to sustain a higher OC.

Man I must have gotten a god of a chip. Last time I tired 4.6ghz I think I had the voltage at 1.120 something.... Or maybe I'm forgetting haha

Okay. Haven't had time to look into comparisons between the two as far as OCing goes. What you said makes sense though. I knew he was referring to the i5 and at 4.8, that is a good clock to say the least.
