Hi every one ive been out the loop for a while and was wondering if some one could advise me on my upgrade. At the moment im running a,
athlon x4 620 cpu,
an every day cheap foxconn mother board,
4 gb of ddr2 ram,
ati 6850 gpu
Ive seen this but its a apu http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-227-OK&groupid=43&catid=2512 I undestand what a apu is but can i use my ati gpu with it? the pack looks quite good and its bang on my budget, its quad core and quite a bit faster clock speed than my old cpu, 8gb of ram and i dont really need a amazing motherboard. I allways tend to buy bundles as i dont have to worry about compatibility btw
So can i use my gpu? or can anyone recomend another purchase from that site that would be better for similar money if my choice sucks?.

Thanks in advance

Regards

John

Solution
No real discount in that bundle, I parted out that for £176.37 here http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Mmjm and I may have used better ram. PC part picker takes care of most compatibility issues, for example, if you choose an Intel i7-4770k there, when you go to choose a motherboard, only Intel socket 1150 motherboards will be listed. Beware though, it's easy to spend hours 'playing' there

Thank you very much i never knew such a site existed im looking at it now and for the same budget i can get a 6 core cpu :) and better ram

Let us know what you come up with, there are some issues that are not represented with PCPartPicker such as allowing ram which the CPU cannot run at full speed. The ram should still work as ram but it may be defaulted to a slower speed. Very few issues get through though but IMO, it's best to be sure.
