Low FPS on Bf4 beta

Below listed is my Rig

CPU - AMD FX 8350
GPU - Zotac GTX 660
Mobo - Asrock FX990 Extreme3
HDD - Seagate 2TB Barracuda 7200RPM
PSU - Cooler master 500VA
Ram - Corsair vengeance 1600Mhz 8Gb
CPU Cooling - Cooler master Hyper evo 212
OS - Win 7 64bit

I play League of Legends, Starcraft 2, NFS Mostwanted, Devil May Cry all in Ultra - High Settings with 1080p resolution on my Acer 21'' monitor 60Hz is the monitor refresh rate.

Downloaded Bf4 yesterday and I am shocked to see at few instances fraps shows me single digit FPS numbers. Is there something I should be worried about as I built this rig recently.

Do I need to over clock my processor or GPU to achieve playable frame rates?
Also I don't have an SSD yet, planning to buy it soon. Can this be a factor for lower frame rates?

Not really, he shouldn't be getting such huge FPS drops.
The only thing that can cause this in your system is your motherboard.
It is not meant to be used with 8 Core CPU's.
It's most likely throttling your CPU.

on the side click CPU support list, in there you'll see that the only piledriver 8 core that is supported for that mobo is the 8300 (an OEM chip). The rest are all Bulldozer 8 cores processors.

Yes, the Extreme4 is a good motherboard...

Also, while your GTX 660 isn't bad, it's going to be more of an "entry level" card for a game like BF4. You might try backing off to medium level settings.

Keep in mind, this game, with a GTX Titan, shows your CPU hitting 60 FPS on Ultra. Your GTX 660 is significantly less powerful than the Titan, so your FPS will be significantly lower on Ultra. If you back off on your settings, I bet the FPS comes back up. I am running a HD 7870XT (overclocked to 1100 MHz) with my 8350, and I can't play it at 60 FPS on full blown Ultra settings, I have to turn down the AA/AF to keep it over 50 FPS. My 7870XT is quite a bit more GPU than your 660 too.

I heard that a temporary fix is to disable half of the cores in the bios until they fix the issue. apparently bf4 doesn't like cpus like amd ones that have 2 cores per module. fx8350 has 4 modules and the fx6300 has 3 modules. apparently you can change it to one core per module and it makes it tones better. I haven't doen this though because in my asus bios I cannot find how to do that. if someone could tell me that would be great

I haven't doen this though because in my asus bios I cannot find how to do that. if someone could tell me that would be great
