Downgrade Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Bios

Sooo i accidentally flashed a bios for the rev2 board, and I have a rev1 board. I flashed the UEFI for rev2 and i think that its affecting my ability to run windows 8. When i try to flash the correct bios for my board using a bootable usb, it tells me that i don't have a matching ID, and when i try @Bios it either crashes or tells me that my @bios needs updating.

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated.

I'm wondering, will running this bios even affect anything? there are only subtle differences in the rev1 and rev2 boards... i just ASSUMED it might have been why i wasn't able to install windows 8.1 on a partition...

hold on..I know this one.. owait..it's Giga,should be no problem
Download desired BIOS to usb ..boot to it from BIOS..done!

i've tried that but i think its recognizing my board as a rev2 instead of rev1, and so it wont flash. says something about 'id mismatch'

im wondering if i can just update and continue using the rev.2 bios...

yes..or you could probably flash it with a bootable USB
