i want a new gpu i was thinking of intel i5 but i know nothing about CPUs i have a budget of £200

your mobo will accept an A10-5800K, which would ne a marked inprovement over the A4

with an i5 you would have to also get a new mobo

Since you are getting a new GPU, I would update your bios, if needed, and go with a 760k for your cpu upgrade. Getting another APU is a waste of money.

I am sorry, I missed that you already had that 650ti boost. For sure do not waste your money on another APU. With your budget, you could easily go with an FX 8320 and an Asrock 970 extreme4 which would be far superior to any APU or even the 760k.

Depending on resolution, it should be possible to run those games on higher settings. The FX 8320 is a vastly superior CPU compared to what you have now. That A4 dual core is probably bottlenecking your 650ti boost to some extent. Also the FM2 cpu's lack L3 cache which can hurt gaming performance in CPU intensive titles.

I see thank you for your help. one last thing is it a big job to change your motherboard and cpu or is it just like installing a new graphics card (because i found that rather easy)

It isn't difficult, just follow the directions. Is that a retail copy or oem copy of Win8? Some have had issues with activating windows on an OEM disc install when swapping motherboards. I personally haven't, but just wanted to make you aware of it.

FYI, If you decide not to risk the Windows 8 install problems, a 760k is your best option.

It is the fastest chip you are going to get that will work in your board. It will definitely be better than your A4.
