Intel i3 for desktop its different than the one for laptop?

I mean..

I have a desktop with a i3 core-3240 but it has HD Graphics 2500, and my friend has a laptop with an i3 core too.. but his graphics card its HD 3000, the graphics card of the cpu for laptop its better? or something its wrong

The desktop cpu's are generaly better just intergrated anything usually is bad but with laptops since its graphics is not upgradable they compensate with better intergration

Yep, laptop/mobile parts are generally all different than desktop parts. Better integrated graphics on most mobile parts to save power and cost instead of putting in a discrete graphics card. Most desktop parts on the other hand have weaker integrated graphics since manufacturers expect those that do anything past web surfing/video streaming etc to have a discrete graphics card (or AMD APU etc)
