It is worth the extra £7.40 to get the 3.8 GHz version over the 3.2 GHz version of the AMD Athlon II.
Back to the OP's question, yes it is worth it. The 760k is a newer and better revision (Richland) vs the 740 and 750k (trinity). Plus the improved clock speed on top of it.
