Hello,

I just got my new SSD so I hooked it up and removed my HDD from my case.
Just got a fresh installation on my SSD but I got the wrong version on it (a OEM version, downloaded it). I have got a legal key for a retail version but I put in the wrong windows CD so now im stuck with an already activated OEm version who is probably illegal.

I tried to change my product key but I simply cant do that because the butten is not there.

How can I remove everything from my SSD safely (no defragmentation) and reinstall windows properly?

Greetings

Solution
try this to change product key
1.Click on the Start Button and type: CMD (into the 'Search programs and files' field in the Start Menu)
2.The Start Menu will show 'CMD.exe',
3.Right-click the CMD.exe file and select Run As Administrator.
4.In the CMD window, type: slmgr.vbs -ipk <type your product key here>
5.To activate windows after changing the key, type: slmgr.vbs -ato

slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

all letters capital have capslock

defragmentation is not to be preformed on a ssd it is not needed.
put the cd and repeat the posses after that use the software witch came with the ssd .to clean the drive if you have a extra pc hook it up and erase everything with the software which is provided.if your hardware supports...
