Bottlenecking GPU? Need Help!

My GPU is a 660 TI and my power supply is 500 watts, I think my power supply is bottlenecking my GPU?

Also my CPU is an AMD Phenom II x4 960T Black Edition
Is my CPU too low?
Any tips for overclocking?

Which phenom is it? Mine, the 965, can run that card no problem without an overclock. With one it can run a 760. The power supply is fine as long as it is a good maker.

Yeah if you overclock you will be fine, as is there is possibly a slight bottleneck but its nothing that will affect performance. Even if you dont, you will get all the performance of that card.

Battlefield is a cpu intensive game, just the card alone wont handle it well. I bet he has a much greater cpu compared to yours.

Overclocking will always help.

Also remember bf4 is in Beta ! There could be issues just related to your setup combonation plus you didn't eve state the what settings your playing the game in.

Overclock and run Prime95 until it crashes, thats really about it. If you really dont want any issues amd cpu overdrive in catalyst control will do it for you. I used it and got mine to 4.1GHz its not as good as the BIOS, but it works nice. If it crashes its too hot, turn the OC down 100MHz.

it is really hard to nuke a CPU just make sure that you are cooling your CPU well enough because that is an extremely common mistake

It is on the higher end, you want to get an aftermarket if you OC. As for it overheating if it gets too hot it shuts down, simple as that, but you never want to hit 70. As for a cooler the Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO is what I recommend.

Just a heads up, BF4 is in no way optimized. I get frame lag on a gtx780 setup, in addition to rubber-banding.
