I have a WD Passport that was working perfectly fine. I safely removed it from my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit) and put it on my friend's laptop (don't know the specs), and it read just fine. I safely removed it and suddenly my laptop won't read it. It appears in the Device and Printers section with an exclamation mark.

I uninstalled the driver and reconnected it and it won't install the driver. I uninstalled ALL drivers under the Device Manager that had to do with the USB, then reboot. Everything installed perfectly except the one for the external HDD.

I read somewhere about assigning a letter to it in the Disk Management, but it just doesn't appear, at all.

Help?

[strike]It doesn't even show up in the list of the Data Lifeguard thing-

Edit-
It got to the point where it randomly recognizes it as an F: but when I click it it starts loading up and then nothing, Windows stops responding and it never opens it to see the files x.x I had a lot of college work in it, ugh![/strike]

It Says Code 10?
