I'm trying to put together a moderate gaming machine on a painfully tight budget ($350-$450). I understand the perils of this task but never been one to quit.
Here's what would help me a LOT. I need to know if this build needs overclocking the cpu to utilize the gpu ;

(Don't pay attention to the prices on there)
In other words, if OCing won't give me any real world gaming benefit then I could drop the after market cooler and make my life a whole lot easier.
And the second thing that would help me (aside from a better budget) is to know if lowering the gpu and putting the money towards an fx 6300 would be a good idea for gaming. (I'd imagine not, but I've been wrong before.)
Games I'd be playing; WoW, LoL, Farcry 3, GTA IV, Crysis 3(If possible) , Civ and others in the same vein.
Resolution would be 1680x1050.
