Fx-6300 or Fx-8320

Hi I am wondering which cpu would be better for my needs?1st ill be using a radeon hd 7950 graphics card.Also I will not be recording or rendering and stuff like that.Basically ill just be playing games like Minecraft,LOL,and Battlefield,possibly Cod.but that is it.

The FX6300 should game just as well since very few if any games can utilize the additional thread handling of the 8320.

The 8 core 8320 would be better for Battlefield 4 but you should pick a solution that best fits the budget.

because all im really doing is gaming and surfing the web.So should I just go with the fx-6300?

I would go with the 6300 and OC it a bit, it will game just fine.

The FX board is better and if you have USB 3 front panel on the case the m5a97le does not have onboard plug for it.
I would go with the FX board but here is a better version of the 970 board with USB3 front panel plug http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a97r20

^+1 to the non-le M5A970 R2.0, if you're not going to crossfire or go for a big overclock, you don't need the 99fx, i have the 970 R2.0 in one rig and it's a great board.

+1 I also have the M5A97 R2.0 and it is a really good board.

The FX-6300 might bottleneck the card in some cpu intensive games. I would recommend the FX-8320 or even an Intel core i5 processor

oc the 6300 to 4.5 and it will be better if not on par with the 8320. no games utilize 8 cores yet.
