My Cyber-shot 6.0 6829426 camera is missing a cd rom so I can't down load pictures from camera to the USB into my computer, Nor my HP printer sundisk will download into my picture library. My camera is about 7 years old and worked great with my Windows 7 but now have upgraded to Windows 8. What is your advise?

What is the exact model? You might be able to find drivers from the Sony website. Does it have an SD card? Getting a card reader or using a laptop card reader would be another option.

I'm surprised the camera doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. Have you tried THIS:
1) Start-> "Computer"
2) attach camera via USB
3) See if it shows up in Windows Explorer
Other:
You could also look for SOFTWARE for your camera the Sony site. It may not show Windows 8 in particular but there might be something you can use.
