I have a Toshiba Satellite L875D with a Dual Core AMD A6-4400M APU, 2.7 Ghz (Turbo: 3.1 Ghz) processor, 4Gb of Ram, Radeon HD Graphics, 600 Gb Hard Drive, 64-Bit operating system (Windows 8), and Li-Ion battery. I am not sure how much of this information is helpful (besides the current processor type), but I want to upgrade my CPU to a AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor. I do note that it does say Desktop Processor, but I want to check and make sure that they are not compatible, and they are not, I want to know if there are any processors like this for around 100$ dollars, or if there is anything I could change in my laptop to make them compatible. Thanks!

There is no motherboard upgrade for laptops. There is only one motherboard and that is the one that has been designed for your laptop model. Laptops have extremely limited upgrade option. Mostly RAM and Hard drive, sometime you may be able to upgrade the CPU, but not most time. Lastly graphics can only be upgraded in rare instances; basically only in specific gaming laptop models which costs at least $1,400.

The 6300 is not compatible. But if you get the a10 4600m you should be able to upgrade it just make sure to update your bios to the latest version before you install it or you might have some trouble getting it to work.

Thank you for answering, however, the AMD A10-4600M APU is SLOWER then my current processor. I am willing to change my motherboard/internal components to make it compatible with different/faster processors, as long as it is around 100$ all total.

-Edit-
Apparently there are two types of AMD A10-4600M APU's. A Dual Processor, and a Quad Processor. I assume that you two were talking about the Quad Processor?
