Is this better than a Dell and why?

IS my computer better than the Dell Inspiron 660 that costs £290 and why?

Well it's a toss up. The Athlon is a pretty old CPU, but your build does have a better GPU and can be upgraded down the road. But the dell is has a better CPU. All in all i'd give it to the build. But I'd do a bit more research and see if you can't make a PC with newer CPU and mobo.

I can't imagine that a comparably priced Dell would even come close to that setup, you should be fine.
