Overclocking i5-4670K Safe Temps

I recently overclocked my i5-4670K using MSI OC Genie on my Z87-GD65 MOBO (first gear of OC Genie). It overclocked to 4.0Ghz and after a bit of testing in Prime95 my max temps were ~65-70C under full load and approximately 1.175-1.2V Core Voltage. I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo with stock thermal paste applied via Pea/Bead method. My question is; is this temperature safe? Could I overclock more (4.2+Ghz @ 75-80C)? Should I change the way my thermal paste was applied? What kinda of performance are you guys getting with your 4670K's with air cooling?

Any and all answers are appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance :)

UPDATE: I just used MSI's OC Genie gear 2 to see what results I could get and here they are

Clock speed: 4.2Ghz
Core Voltage: 1.223V
Max Temp: 77C on hottest core 70C on coolest core

Testing was done with CPUZ, Real Temp, Prime95. These numbers are from 30 minutes of testing. Will be leaving it running for about 6 hours to get more accurate temps as well as test stability. If it stays around this temp and voltage is that safe? I've read that haswell chips run hot and that usually under 80C on Prime95 is completely witching spec, please confirm. Thanks again.

I have the same CPU as you and the MSI G45 mobo. I'm using some old Asus heatsink+fan combo and when I used OC genie I also got 4.0ghz and I saw my temps reaching almost 70 when I was playing a game. I was told that Haswell runs hot and that the cheaper air coolers, even the one you have can't cool it too well when OC'd. I was also told that even the single radiator closed loop coolers can't do it. Basically need one of those 70+ dollar big huge air coolers or a dual radiator liquid cooler. But I'm no expert, just relaying info that was given me. I'm also going to be getting a new cooler for my CPU soon as I want to OC it. Let me know what you come up with :)

Ya, I only see about 55C when gaming. The 70C for me came when running a Load Test in Prime95.
