I'm currently running a Radeon HD6670 2gb DDR3. I'd like to upgrade it to something better and maybe still be able to use the 6670 in a CrossFireX configuration if possible. Budget is $200-$300. Motherboard is an ASUS F1A75-M LE with an AMD A6-3500.

I'd really like to upgrade all three components with a build centered around an A10-5800k but I'm not sure what I can do with a budget of that size. Also the FM2 motherboard choices I have locally are not that great at the moment(I prefer physical shopping for parts). Suggestions are welcome for a 3 pc build but I'm more interested in a video card right now. I'll save up for the other 2 later on.

Don't see any issues with the PSU, it's a nice, workmanlike unit-there is better but also far worse!
The CPU is a bit of a handicap in Photoshop, but that software can also use the graphics cards computing power as well so the upgrade should have a double benefit.
If you're fairly happy gaming on the 6670 you're in for a great big surprise when the upgrade kicks in :).
Best CURRENT choices: GTX760 from Nvidia or HD7950 from AMD, both will leave change from $300.
GTX750: Slightly faster, smoother gameplay, advanced gaming features like PhysX, adaptive Vsync and a wider range of Anti Aliasing options. Main downside is its <>$50 more expensive that the AMD HD7950.
AMD 7950: Extra memory-3Gb as opposed to the GTX760s 2Gb-, greater raw...
First the obvious questions:
What power supply is installed? We need to know exact make and model.
What is the monitor resolution?
You really, REALLY, don't want to try and CF that card, I'd suggest you keep it somewhere warm and dry as a reserve.
For $300 you can get all but the most powerful cards available but if the monitor resolution is fairly low spending that much may not be a good choice.

Yeah I wasn't sure if using it with a new card would be a good idea.

I've got a 600W Thermaltake PSU and a 22" AOC running at 1920x1080. I tend to play most games at a medium setting just because I prefer performance over quality but if I can get both without upgrading the rest of my system that would be pretty great. I'm currently playing Saints Row 4 at that resolution but pretty much everything on low or medium.

I also do a lot of work in Photoshop CS6 and work with very high resolution images(for signs and banners mostly) and have had to deal with sluggishness quite often. I have a feeling that my processor could use an upgrade as well to address that issue that's why I'm disappointed in the lack of better FM1 CPUs now. I'll have to get a new board as well.

I run Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with 8GB of RAM, by the way.

AMD 7950: Extra memory-3Gb as opposed to the GTX760s 2Gb-, greater raw computing power through Direct Compute, cheaper and with a nice little 3 game give away-top tier titles, too. Downsides, they're less gamer friendly in some titles need better coolers to tame the heat and tend to use more power under load.
Currently AMD is releasing their 'new' cards, but availability is thin and with the HD7950 available for $200 with a half decent cooler I'm not expecting to see any substantial discounts in the near future from them, Nvidia have yet to make a move but I suspect we'll see some useful discounts on the GTX770/760 in the near future.
