Windows 8 can not recognise Hdd

Hey, guys i need to format my hard drive i an doing this via a usb everything works fine untill i get asked to choose a hard drive to install windows i have this motherboard http://www.gigabyte.com.gr/products/page/mb/ga-g31m-s2l/ i think that i need the sata drivers for my mother board i tried to search them but i had no luck i was told to download intell ICH7 drivers there where to many options to choose from i tried what ever said ata -sata still no luck ( Btw the bios can recognise the hard drive)

What do u mean post in photo so that i can answer... what hard drive u use ? what cable it use ? make sure it is correct cable u put if u use SATA OR ATA it's easy to connect don't use usb when upgrading or getting new windows some usb can't connect properly use cd rom via cable don't use sata or ata when connetion in DVD rom
