GA-G31M-S2L sata drivers

i need the sata drivers for this motherboard i searched through the web and found nothing i need them so windows 8 can recognise the hdd

Go here and select the Windows version: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2693&dl=1#driver

However, it appears that Windows 8 is not supported on the GA-G31M-S2L, so the SATA driver is not your only problem.
If you did manage to get Windows 8 installed, Gigabyte have no Windows 8 drivers for that board so most of the on-board hardware won't work properly, if at all.

If the motherboard manufacturer doesn't have Windows 8 drivers for that board, you can stop looking.

I had previously installed windows 8 with that motherboard but my old hdd died a friend of mine gave me an IDE hdd with windows 7 installed it cannot boot he told me to format i used the usb as a cd-dvd drive cause mine is broken . Thanks anyways seems so that i need to install windowns 7 and then 8

I can't find Windows 8 drivers listed for G31 or G41 motherboards at Intel, Gigabyte, or Biostar, but they must exist since my G41 is running Win 8 from an internal SATA HDD.
