New mobo or AM3+ build?

I built a new PC in early 2012 and here's the configuration:

Gigabyte G1. Guerrilla (rev 1.0)
i7 950 LGA1366
8 GB RAM
Radeon HD6850 Black Edition
Seventeam 550W

But no much later, he fell to the ground and since this I'm having really annoying troubles with my motherboard. Like have to change his position trying to turn it on or hour and date reseting after the first boot.

I've tested the components with some friends many times, but it was always uncertain. So because of the first problem, I thought this could be the power supply, so I've tested with another supply and apparently it worked, so I bought a Corsair CX750, but the problems remains.
Now I don't have much money and find a motherboard for that socket is really hard and expensive - specially here in Brazil where everything costs the triple of the real price.

So, I don't wanna lose too much potency and I can't afford too much as well.

I don't know what to do and here's the doubt:
Do I buy another Motherboard or change it for a AMD processor (I was thinking of FX6300 Vishera) plus a mobo that fits my configuration?

If you have another better options, please, tell me.

The hour and date problem is actually recent. I have two HDs and I have already tested both of them, connected and disconnected. I don't have any other problems with them, missing files or anything else. So I don't think they're the problem. But, anyway, thanks, maybe I should try this again later.

The hour and date issue can be coursed by the motherboard battery is loose (Or need replacment as Swifty said)

However, if you really really want a new MOBO. Either see if you can find one of the same kind yours is and compare the prize on that and a AMD AM3+ build. (FM2 could also be an option if it is cheaper)

Here is a little VS to help you chose. When it comes to weaknesses and strengths.

I7 950 vs FX6300: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-950-vs-AMD-FX-6300
I7 950 vs A8 - 6600K: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-950-vs-AMD-A8-6600K
FX 6300 vs A8 - 6600K: http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-FX-6300-vs-AMD-A8-6600K

In my country is the price of a A8 and a FX6300 the same. Ofc is the FX6300 a little more pure CPU minded. It have two extra cores to back itself up with and a L3, which the A8 does not have.

So the FX would be the one I would chose it were a A8 vs FX 6300 for the reason that you already got a good GPU.

Yup. For example, by now I've adjusted already my hour and date and it should stay correct till I turn off my computer completly. It's really unstable, sometimes when I finally turn it on again, it stays with the correct time, sometimes don't. But usually it backs to 01/01/2011.

Hey, thanks! :)

But does the battery problem might be causing this lack of energy transmission to my motherboard? When I try to turn it on, seems like it has no energy passing by. Sometimes I hear a "tick tick" sound when I push the power button, sometimes don't, like anything is happening. It's like trying to start an old car, you keep turning the keys till the motor run, if it does, the car will run fine till you turn off.

ticking sound..

Sure about that HDD? As a motherboard does not have mechanical parts and i recall when my harddisk died it made a ticking sound.

Also check for leaking capacitors on the motherboard (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/308017-30-motherboard-makes-rapid-clicking-sounds)

Yes, now I'm sure. Tried to plug one by one and unplug all the HDDs, even my DVD driver and same problem. Checked my capacitors and everything looks fine. Unhappyly I think I'll have to change my mobo.

So, do you think the FX6300 Black Edition is a good choice right? Any sugestion about the new mobo, one that I can overclock without troubles or with a good soundcard just like the Guerrilla?

(and a cheap price of course)

Morgan, the problem is: My PC is having problems to turn on, I need to shake it sometimes to work and when it works, all the problems related to the battery shows up, like not saving BIOS config or reseting hour and date. Some things in Windows Taskbar gone missed or stay a empty space in it's place, usually it happens with the network or volume icon. So I manually update the time and reset my PC, when it is reseted, works fine again but when I turn it totally off, everything happens again. In my understanding, everything that happens to him is related to the motherboard. So I think, that the best solution to this is replacing it for a new one. But the G1. Guerrilla if wasn't for the fall, could still be a NICE motherboard and I want a new one that could be so good as it was or next to it, but for AMD. Do you have any recommendation?

I'll replace the battery. And I'm taking your advices, but almost everything said here, was said before or tried before. And yes, I already checked my cable/wiring connections, many many times. I want to buy a new board 'cause it seems the easiest way to solve this problem, btw, It was the main question I've made in the topic. I just wanna know, your opinion about the best budget AMD processor + AM3+ Motherboard that fits the same quality and possibilities range that I already have or better if it's the case. But I'm open to sugestions, just this. You don't need to be so angry at me.

To swifty_morgan.
You know. You do not "need" to anwser. But being polite and calm to all questions asked is a common goal to have a nice forum. People come here to get advice, not to get a bucket'o'shit tossed at them. So i'll end it off with a Matrix quote: "I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it."

Back to the topic.
If you were to give a min-max bugdet what would that be then.

there are people who will fight tooth and nail................ he wants a new board. the troubles he is having is just an excuse to buy that board. otherwise suggestions would have been tried............... there's something other than the motherboard that's causing these problems. trying to get somebody to help you out over the internet isn't easy. still waiting for OP to list components. think he ever will?

Making a comparison mercadolivre x amazon, I think I have a budget aroud $270 or less.
I just want something similar of what I already got. If $270 is not enough, you can show me one option for my budget and one you think is ideal for my needs.

And thank you man, you're helping me a lot.

I've TRIED this, I just couldn't buy a battery today. To make sure, I've plugged and unplugged my HDs and checked my capacitors as Dragoic said. I have already spent too much money, so if I need to buy a new HD, I prefer to get rest of the money and buy a new motherboard. Which components you want me to list here?
