I recently built my first PC, and I think I did a good job, but the core temperature is running a little hot for my taste, but I don't know how to cool it down.
I have:
I7 4770k (3.5 GHz) with stock cpu heatsink/fan
MSI R7950 twin frozer iii 3Gb Gpu
Asus Z87 PRO
8Gb corsair vengeance RAM (1866 MHz)
750w corsair 80+ gold PSU
2Tb Seagate barracuda HDD
120Gb Samsung 840 evo SSD
generic disc drive reader/writer
Case is NZXT phantom full tower (black) http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/34-phantom
Cooling:
intel stock CPU heatsink/fan
3 120mm nzxt fans (came with case) two at bottom of HDD cage near front, one near the top of the rear, and one 200mm LED near the rear of the top.
I have the fans plugged into my case included fan controller, but they don't seem to make a difference whatsoever to the temperature(whether turned up or down, I can't turn them off). I would rather have a solution that didn't require buying new fans, but I don't mind too much if it solves the problem.
its running 30 degrees Celsius at idle at the moment
