Greetings, I would like to custom build a home or gaming PC for around $600. I use the desktop at home but occasionally I play some games. ( e.g. FIFA, L4D, The Sims )
However, I would like to have a smooth and solid kind PC as my current 'dead' PC has quite some high end components.

Approximate Purchase Date: This week.

Budget Range: around $600 ( is it possible? ).

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Home, Watching movies, Gaming.

Parts Not Required: Speakers, Mouse, Keyboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: -

Country:Malaysia

Parts Preferences: Both processor AMD or Intel will do, as long as it suits. Cause I once had a AMD PC and it was quite good. In fact, the 'dead' PC which was running Intel died faster.

Overclocking:No/ Maybe

SLI or Crossfire:Maybe

Monitor Resolution:1280 x 1024

Additional Comments: I just need a smooth PC, non-lag for my games and also movies. And recently I saw this ASUS VS239H-P 23-Inch Full-HD LED IPS Monitor quite attractive.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate whoever helps me. :D

Solution
Just find all these parts in stores near you (via online). It's a good build and will be perfect for your needs -

p.s - get at least a 1080p monitor

I'm not really sure of the full specs cause it was my brother who customized it. But what I know is the technician totally messed up the cables, it was so messy and the casing was horrible. But I could recall some of the parts. Im really not sure about the mobo.
Processor : Intel Core Quad 2
RAM : 4gb.
Vga card : AMD RADEON HD 4xxx DDR2

Btw, it says the mobo has only 2 USB 3.0 ports? ( doesn't it have more? my current mobo has like 2 in front and 6 behind.)
Since the mobo has 3.0 ports, I need a casing with 3.0 ports also right...? which NZxT Source 210 doesnt have... how about NZXT
Source 220?
How about a AOC e2462Vwh?

How to get to know that whether it's good or not? Because almost all the feedbacks are positive comments... xD
Btw, I found this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1KHzX . Is this better in performance?

The 7850 will offer more performance over the 650ti. So no, the system you created will not have better performance.

To answer the question about the AOC monitor - It's definitely overpriced for a 1080p display and there are definitely mixed reviews on the product - http://www.digitalversus.com/lcd-monitor/aoc-e2462vwh-p15945/test.html#full-review
