Hi all, I have never overclocked my CPU before, and am looking for some help.
My setup is as follows, as was purchased to be the first system I Overclock.
Core i7 3930k With Corsair H100 cooler
ASUS P9X79WS
Coolermaster HAF X
PSU 1000w
32gb ram
Gtx 680 4gb
Does anyone have a walkthrough that is easy for newbs to understand, or is anyone willing to assist me in this undertaking?
I understand I am to use the bios the of the p9x79ws to change the settings, what im not sure of is how far I can push it with the h100 cooler, and which settings to actually change...
I increase voltage... but does that itself increase the frequency/speed? or do I need to do that also?
I heard that I could get it to 4.8ghz stable with the H100, so I'm really hoping to shoot for close to that.
