Is it just me, or is this really bad back light bleed...

I paid over 220 dollars for my LG 23EA63V-P monitor at futureshop, and after starting a movie, I was immediately not impressed with this monitor. Apart from this "back light bleed" problem, I love this monitor with the thin bezel and beautiful brushed metal look. I got it replace after using it for three days. Now, after three weeks of using this replacement, I tried, and tried to get over this problem, but it's bothering me every time. I've already returned this product, so I don't feel comfortable returning it again, three weeks later (it still hasn't been 30 days). Now, I'm worried that even if I get another monitor, the same problem will happen. Is this normal?

The top part isn't as noticeable, but the bottom left, and sometimes the bottom right is just killer.

Should I get the same model, or should I get my money back, and get a completely new monitor?

Get your money back. As you have had it replaced already it seems that this is a problem present on this particular model. If the same problem happens again with a different model then ask for a refund again, you have nothing to lose.

Okay, so this morning I took the monitor back to futureshop, and they didn't have any more of the same model. I didn't want to sacrifice an IPS panel for a TN panel, I didn't want to sacrifice the 23 inch for a 21 inch, and I didn't want to sacrifice my 5ms delay, with a 7ms, so I got a refund.

I then went to Staples, then bought an AOC 23" display. This renewed my 30day return policy, so I can return it and get any other monitor for another 30 days in case something else happens. It was 159.99 as oppse to 230 bucks, so I saved money, and here's the result: There is still some white in the left corner, but MUCH less than the LG.

I was considering the Asus MX239H, but it's about 250 bucks. I might be able to order the Asus VS239H-P as well, if I decide this AOC monitor isn't good enough.

I know that all LED displays will have backlight bleed to some extent, but I want to get the minimum bleed as possible. The bleed on the AOC is still noticeable when watching movies, youtube videos, or even booting up, but at this point, I'm guessing it's not going to get better than this. What do you think?

I would get a different one, why take the chance the next identically made one will also have the same issue, seems to me the possibility it affects a whole batch of these is high.
