Not sure if psu will support new graphics card

I'm getting a new graphics card as well as a new power supply, but am not sure if they'll work together in terms of the cabling. I assumed that the psu will have enough different leads that the right one will be there but I'd like to make sure.

The power supply is a Corsair CX750, and the graphics card will be a R9 280X, but since it's too early to have decided on the specific card, it will either have a 6-pin and 8-pin socket or 2x 8-pin.
Will the two connect?

I guess I'm also wondering about the rest of my components connecting to the PSU. Am I just being stupid, or is it important to check that the PSU has the right connectors before buying it?

I am upgrading a whole bunch of things in my PC so there's no set budget for the PSU. The Corsair CX750 is £62 on Amazon (was £70 yesterday which I was fine with) so something around that price would be good.
Is it not a good PSU though? I thought it's quite high quality, and 750W should easily run my PC.

Better build quality and will run your setup easily.

Ooh, nice website - I'll have a play around with that.
I've just realised that 750W is actually not the best to get - I was going to get a 750W in case I crossfire at some point, but have now realised that 600/650 should cover my current build, and I'd need an 850 if I crossfire in the future.

Also, I'm actually not sure what my hard drive is, because the PC was pre-built and it was just a stock hdd. Not sure if that will matter.

So if you want quality and reliability then buy rosewill cappstone or tachyon or lightning.

This is best. Not some cheap crap. Quality is not cheap.

I can't get those PSUs here in the UK.

You say "cheap crap", but does Corsair not have a reputation for high quality components? Plenty of people seem to have used the PSU I linked in gaming rigs with no problem. And it's not cheap! It is 3 times more expensive than some other PSUs. :S
I only need it for 2 years by the way, if that matters.

Final thing: you described what you linked as the "best", but I have a budget and am not looking for the best. I'm just looking for something that will do the job, run my PC and not die after a few months.

In UK you can buy super flower? That is same psu as the rosewill.
Super Flower Golden Freen or Golden King are awesome good quality psu.

Corsair new RM is really good too.

But if you can not find super flower in UK you can order one here.

This is really good.
