PC does not go pass logo screen and a beep

I was on youtube when my system froze and I had to reboot my PC. After doing that my PC no longer goes pass the ASUS logo screen and 1 single beep. I cannot access BIOS either, the screen just turn black after logo and stays like that. Tried CMOS button - did not do anything at all.

Please, help.

Update guys: unplugged all the cords and cut off the power completely, plugged everything back and it booted. Now, why did something like that happened? Can it be the first signs of something nasty? Or maybe it's just a dying CMOS battery?
