Hello there,

I'm new to computers and I have no clue what to do when problems come up and stuff. Anyway, I have a custom built desktop with an i7 Processor, 8 GB RAM, and a GIGABYTE motherboard.

Well, today i had a problem with the HDMI cable not displaying on the tv. Whenever I turned on the tv, it said no signal, and then tried the cable with my brother's PS3 console, it work. I tried doing the same with the computer, but it wouldn't display.

Afterward, I took off a part of the tower, and decided to look around a bit. I wasn't sure what there was so I left it alone.

I tried turning on the computer, and then turning after a few minutes to try and avoid having to repair startup again.

The part of the tower I exposed has a power button and wires. I didn't know they were sensitive and the computer shut off immediately and came back on soon after.

Then I tried reconnecting the HDMI cable again. This time around it worked and the tv is displaying the computer stuff.

But now the Bios said it was corrupted, and started loading up repairs or something. And just ten minutes later everything is working again.

Should I be worried about this because I haven't had this happen before.

I did have to deal with a situation where I had to reinstall windows, but this was different because the Bios said it corrupted, but it repaired itself.

Solution
Modern motherboards have multiple BIOS nowadays. usually if one is corrupted it boots to the other then restores the corrupted BIOS automatically. A faulty BIOS flash isn't a death sentence anymore.

you should not be worried about that, the exact problem happend to me yesterday when i was installing my CPU but if you want to be 100% safe reset your bios just look up a video so no need to worry
