System Specs in my sig, I have dumped the 3 HDDs and now have a 128gb SSD and 1 TB HDD 7200 RPM, will my Antec Green 500w support a MSI 7970 Twin Frozr Edition, <---also is that a good card? usually I only buy Gigabyte but read a bunch of bad reviews for their 7970.

Next should I wait for the release of the R9 280x or just purchase the 7970 now. For card suggestions limit to Amazon.com because I have $150 store credit there. Thanks in advance.

I would go for the 7970, the prices will drop because of the new amd cards, and to be honest there isn't really that much difference between the new amd cards and the old ones, something like a 5-10% increase.

Go with a non-reference 7970.

500 will be fine. Non-reference means one of the ones that amd didn't make, e.g ASUS 7970 or Gigabyte 7970. do you need any links for them(if so. US, UK?)

Also a Sapphire HD 7970 Vapor-X is really good.
I`ll also pick one for my new build, and the only difference between the 7970 and 280x will be the price.
If the price of 280x is small ennough to make me forget about the bundled games, I`ll take it.
If the price is the same, I`ll go for the bundled 7970.

the 280x costs 299$ , and it's higher than the 7970 ghz edition by 10% and much cheaper , the 7970 ghz (vapor x) edition costs 360-390$ so ofc the r9 280x worth the shot , specially the toxic one
