Trying to re-install Windows because software got corrupted and won't boot. Was able to get rid of all partitions except system reserve by making it a slave in another system. Get two choices: Upgrade and Custom. Can't Upgrade because it must be done within Windows after bootup (which I can't). Can't use Custom because it won't recognize the harddrive at all. Even tried installing XP figuring it would not see the system reserve partition, but getting blue screen of death. Harddrive is good. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

If it's just that 100meg reserve partition then you should be able to remove that as well. If it's a system restore partition then I would try putting it back in the other machine and creating a new partition in the free space and see if that makes it happy.
