Go with an i5 either Ivy or Haswell with either z77 or z87 motherboard.

I would suggest the following though.
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116899 + http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131979
Or the Maximus Hero http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131989 with the same CPU.

+ 1 Of the two mobos, I went with the Hero, great mobo for gaming and overall use, I'm running 4.6 24/7 with the 4770K and 32GB of 2666,. The Hero runs everything I throw at it, and the 4670K would be the way to go on the CPU for gaming
  5. i checked the prices of those at tigerdirect and canadacomputers ( the two stores i could go and buy them) and the price of those 2 motherboards are $200+ , if i could save a couple more cash on the motherboards and get myself an i7 3770 would be great
  6. Sounds like a plan
