Well in all honesty, money. I mean 38 bucks to 50 is only 12 bucks, but if I built off a bunch of "is only"s, I would be spending a lot more total. Now I read somewhere that dual channel can give you 20-30% more performance, while quad channel only see's about 10% over the dual. To me the jump to dual is worth it in the change of pricing, while quad really isn't, plus I haven't even researched quad into my rig.

My current SSD and 650 Ti Boost (OC'ed) provide ample power, its definetly my CPU bottlenecking. Man she has been a charm, but its just the end of the road for her. I guess I figure if I need new RAM, Mobo, and CPU just to make the switch, I minus well get some decent gaming RAM.

I wasn't sure if the stick I posted could be bought twice, and used in a dual channel config. I am tight on funds, I was going to start with one (obviously its going to be stronger than what I am running now) and I will pop another in at a check or two. From what I have seen though, you buy two in dual channel or one in single channel. I don't see single sticks of dual config RAM.

I was also thinking I didn't want to do a cheaper 2x2 dual channel set because then if I wanted to go past 8 gigs later (it has 4 slots) I would need to buy all new replacement sets. Does that make sense? I was just thinking of it from an economical stand point and trying to get started. I am in sales and its tough right now, so I have like no play room =(

Anymore suggestions for RAM would be great. Right now its looking like I might just have to pony up the cash for a 2x2 and when I need it do another 2x2 and max it at 8gb. I'm sure that would be plenty anyway, I mainly just game. I don't even cap out my current 4gb gaming - just the proc.
