There is no way 'titan ultra' will be 30% faster than current titan.Damn that sucks, was looking forward to maybe buying a titan ultra. If its only 20% more than its not worth $1000.00 at all.
If they keep the clock the same as titan the performance will be very close to titan just like how close 780 performance to titan. But actually nvidia could name it as 780 Ti instead of titan ultra and make the price competitive to amd R9 290X while keeping current titan at 1k.

Do you think 1000 for a titan ultra is worth it if its 30% faster than a regular titan or should i wait for maxwell 880?If the titan ultra will come with even 1/3 of the quadro K6000 it will be definately as good as two gtx 780TI, especially if u will run 6 cores CPU or more since it might have some of the Hyper Q lanes enabled(my guess 8 out of 32).
The difference u would note is that u will not need superclocked cpus so much and as time passes and games have more geometry u will not see drops in performance.
If they will keep the frame buffer at 12 gyga also u will handle triple 4k screens or bigger comfortably.
You also need to note that if u play on 23 or smaller 1920x1080 screens u dont need even to have a particular high end GPU at all, anything that will keep u over 30 fps is good enough.
So a quadro 2000 or a amd 280 aremore that enough for any gamer
I estimate its price to be from 1300 to 1500 dollars

I sincerely doubt any single consumer GPU could anywhere near 2x 780 ti

Apparently the titan ultra so for you not to have doubts will run better than 3 780 ti............ however You all need to understand that anything over 30fps is the human eye cannot perceive faster, if You howver have latency issues then it is not due to FPS but rather to teh server You are playing on OR Worse to teh client....that would be You.....not Your GPU.
