Hi,

I just set my BIOS to the ASUS Optimized Settings as a sort of base line overclock and was blown away when I found that I was getting 77C temperatures after an hour of Prime95. I've got a Cooler Master V6GT as the CPU Cooler and this just doesn't seem right. Volts are at 1.20 (although its adaptive, so maybe it changed during the test). 4.0ghz is just such a piddly OC so why am I getting 77C? This is about TCase which means that I should lower the clocks right? Or is this an acceptable maximum OC? I don't want to kill my processor; I'd much prefer to have lower clocks and longer CPU life. So should I lower the clocks? Or what?
